Dads and Kids Sports Sessions!
@ Failsworth Soccer Centre
(Brierley Avenue, Failsworth, Manchester, M35 9HA)
Every Sunday (launches Sunday 1st March 2009)
2pm until 3pm
£1 per child
New Community Initiative – Launches Sunday 1st March 2009
Each week, football matches, tournaments and mini soccer leagues take place at Failsworth Soccer Centre. Children and young people are encouraged by parents standing on the touchline, but now it is time for dads to dust off their boots and get involved. On Sunday 1st March 2009, a new initiative starts that aims to encourage parents and children to learn and play a variety of sports.
Dads and their children will be trained by the soccer centre’s team of qualified coaches and will learn new skills and try different games. The project will offer the chance for families to meet one another and children to make new friends. Parents will be able to spend quality time with their children whilst taking part in healthy, sports related activities.
The weekly sessions are available to dads and their children (aged 4-7 years) and it only costs £1 per child. Mums are welcome to attend also, however due to limited capacity places will be available on a first come first served basis.
